The USAF Encryption Wizard (EW) is a simple, strong, Java file and folder encryptor for protection of sensitive information. EW Public Edition v.3.4.11 can be downloaded here:
https://www.spi.dod.mil/ewizard.htm
(NOTE: Should the above link not work, please see TENS site, specifically, "What are the missing pieces and how do I get them" section for instructions to install the certificates that will allow your browser to securely access the above link.)
The following instructions should work with other Java applications as well.
This example is known to be working on:
-Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and Professional
-Microsoft .NET Framework v.4.6.2 (which contains both x86 and x64 binaries in the same package)
-OpenSC x64 v0.16.0 Drivers
-Java Runtime Environment x64 v8.5 (PKCS11 access in older versions is not working) Java Runtime Environment x64 v8.5 can be downloaded from here and requires creating a free Oracle account before downloading.
USAF Encryption Wizard Public Edition v.3.4.11 needs to be configured to use the correct opensc-pkcs11.dll file, since by default the program is configured to look at the wrong location. After OpenSC is installed, the onepin-opensc-pkcs11.dll is located in the C:\Windows\System32 directory.
